During your studies, you’re likely to hit upon some questions that can’t be answered by a textbook or by your teacher. Or perhaps you’ve got an interest in a particular topic but you’re not sure where to look for more information.
When this happens, imagine how great it would be to be able to ask for help from someone working within engineering. This is what Ask an Ambassador offers – a direct line from you to someone in industry who can help.
Who are the Ambassadors?
The Ambassadors are members of IMechE and come from a broad range of backgrounds, interests and skills. The one thing they all have in common is their passion and commitment to engineering.
There’s no need to worry that the Ambassadors might be too far ahead in their careers to remember what it’s like when you’re studying. We’ve got volunteers that include students studying engineering at university, qualified Engineers and experienced professionals – and they all want to offer their support to you.
What kind of things can I ask an Ambassador?
You can ask the Ambassadors whatever you like. So long as it’s relevant to engineering they’re happy to answer questions about anything and everything. Have a look at the questions and answers section for some of the questions that other users have asked.
How long will it take to get an answer?
The Ambassadors will try to give you an answer within 5 working days.
What questions have other people asked?
There’s a list of questions that have already been answered in the questions and answers section. Before you send in your question, have a look and see if it has been answered before.
