Teacher Support

You're delivering the curriculum at the front line - here’s some back-up

The next generation of Mechanical Engineers relies on passionate high-quality teaching.

Like students, Engeneration wants STEM teachers to do the best they can. So we’re developing some useful Learning Material that we hope will enhance your teaching in some of the STEM subject areas.

The Teacher support notes available below accompany our Learning Materials which are for Engeneration members aged 14 - 19. The Learning Materials are not all available to view publicly, as they are exclusively for Engeneration members, but you can see an exemplar here. If you are a teacher who would like obtain copies of any of the Learning Materials featured in the Teacher support notes, please contact education@imeche.org

Careers Information

We have a range of brochures and leaflets that contain information to students on engineering careers, training opportunities, university courses, scholarships and awards. We also have posters about engineering careers that are suitable for display in schools, colleges and careers libraries. If you would like to obtain copies of our schools careers information, please email your request to education@imeche.org with your name, department and school address.

School Visits

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers has a team of Education Ambassadors who are professional engineers dedicated to inspiring the next generation. They can visit your school to exhibit at careers events, give talks and presentations on engineering careers or to assist in classroom projects related to engineering.

If you are interested in an IMechE Ambassador visit to your school, please contact education@imeche.org with details of the event. We will try our best to match you up with an Ambassador in your area. If we are unable to find an Ambassador in your area, we can provide careers literature to support your event.
